Of all the places to have conflicts, the church should not be a dwelling place for such actions. In the New Testament we are told to edify each other, which is supposedly a part of the church culture. Edifying each other would strengthen the church, but how will we strengthen the church if we avoid the issues that are in it. We edify each other only if we love according to the commandments of Jesus Christ, otherwise we are pleasing the evil one. My intention is not to please the evil one. It is to please my Heavenly Father; the churches that I have attended seem to have a secluded culture, which states to do as they do, otherwise don’t join them. That is the situation that has prompted me to write on Friendly Fire in Christian Living.

Wedged between exhortations on treasures and serving two masters comes a penetrating teaching that Jesus proclaims cogently. The “single” eye is healthy, focused, undivided. The unhealthy eye, however, is duplicitous. It is untrustworthy… Foundations of kindness in generosity find themselves in the heart devoted to God that directs the eye heavenward, and without hesitation… “What shall I give, Lord?”

God is present everywhere. We should try to strive and recognise the presence of God. Nobody can refute Him.

As I have grown I have noticed how important prayer really is. I pray for the people around me, I pray for God’s will to be done, and I pray so I can talk to God. Prayer is our gateway to communicate to our Heavenly Father.

The Lord God is our true Father and He has us at heart, He says in Jeremiah His plan is to prosper us and give us a hope and a future. Our Lord has prepared greatness for us. We do face trials, challenges and problems but none is greater than our God, and He allows such to happen because He allows only the trials, challenges and problems He has empowered us to overcome. We should remember always that the problems we face, the Lord has already equipped us to overcome them. After all He is the Creator of everything upon Heaven or earth.

Some time back, I learnt about how my Lord works and it has been engraved in me since. A certain preacher told me that life is not computed by its duration but its donation. The Lord gave us life we are then judged by what we did in the life we lived. A dear friend told me about the dream she had, were she was at the gates of Heaven and she was told to write on two separate sheets of paper to write what the Lord had done to her and what in turn she had done to the God.

The Bible says those who wait upon the Lord shall have their strength renewed, they will soar on wings like eagles, they will run and not grow weary, and they will walk and not be faint. It is a wonderful thing waiting upon the Lord. The challenge comes in understanding what it means to wait upon the Lord. It took me a while to understand it too; it was only after some experiences in my life.

The Lord has open doors for us, no one can shut them, and if He has closed one no one can open it. It is important to remember that once opened or closed that door will never be moved by anyone else other than God. The only reason why God would open or shut a door is because of the choices we make in our lives.

The problem with living in the present moment is that if you don’t know how to do it, it’s really hard! I even think that trying to be present is a contradiction, like when my friend tried to lose 30 pounds but ate Mcdonalds every day. Trying to do anything living in the future. In order to be present, you must approach it indirectly.

When you don’t live in the present moment, you create unnecessary suffering in your life. Either you are angry about the past, or worrying about the future, and in the end, you wind up having a crappy life. The present moment is the only time and place where you can be fulfilled. You can only experience wonder, joy, awe and peach right now. Children are much better at being present, and it’s no coincidence that they feel wonder and peace and joy much more often….

Mankind has asked this question over and over for eons. 95% of the earths population worship some form of God. Nature bears witness to the fact that everything did not come to be by accident.
