Have you ever had a feeling that you needed to do something for someone or give someone a call yet ignored that feeling? I would venture to guess that this has happened from time to time. I know that it has happened to me in the past; however, I now know that when this happens it is a message from a higher power, and I need to act on it.

It is very easy to follow a certain path when others have already done the hard work of cutting down the trees and bushes to clear it. All you have to do is walk in the ruts and you won’t have to do any of the hard work. You can blindly follow and not worry much about getting lost. If you take the other way and blaze a path yourself, it will definitely be harder and require much more faith on your part, especially if you let God lead the way. But it will be the most exciting and emotional time you have ever experienced.

A few years ago I used to spend much of my spare time doing oil paintings of outdoor scenes. One of my favorite subjects was a woodland scene with trees, rocks and the calm waters of a small lake. I went to Google images and typed in “images of healing.” Several images came up and I chose one that I liked because it symbolically represented healing.

This is a normal feeling when trials and temptations encompass you. When you feel forsaken, it is time to guard your heart with the true and living word of God. He says that he will never leave nor forsake you. This message is especially for those who are going through hard times.
