Down through the centuries, magicians, shamans, healers and wizards have kept the finer details of their trade secrets. And that was for several good reasons, The first being that by knowing secrets they were held is high esteem.

One of the oldest concepts is the concept of being harmless. It is the foundation of most religions (even Christianity). What does being harmless mean and how do we live a harmless life?

Imagine standing with the disciples watching as Jesus ascended into heaven. John the beloved may have longingly wanted to join Jesus in His sudden departure for the heavens.

The question as it is posed; do you think the resting period after we leave one life and before we go on is longer if the person had taken their own life? Why would it be? Would it be the same if a person suffered a violent death? Isn’t cancer a violent death?

Every man and woman contemplates at one time or another where they actually came from and why they were seemingly thrust into world with precious few answers about their origins and purpose for their life. It can be a lonely universe at times as you gaze into the vast expanse of the night sky, viewing countless galaxies, stars, comets and other phenomonan, wondering where you fit in.

You’ve been deepening your spirituality, and it has seeped into everything you do, or is starting to. The thing is, will it freak your clients out if you go all woo-woo and bizarre on them? Even if you’re already using spirituality strongly in your business, I’m guessing there are places you just don’t want to go, things that are too blatant or strong. You don’t want to evangelize, you’re not looking to convert anyone.

Language both helps us to understand the universe and hides it from us. If I write “table” the image that is called to mind is most probably different for each reader. Dining room, kitchen, conference – there are many types of tables.

The world is suffering under the delusions that heaven and hell exits and that some have the right to take the lives of others to fulfill the wishes of their gods. The origin of our belief systems and more pointedly that of devils and angels is found in ancient notions that heaven and hell were places in and around the earth. This is unsubstantiated by science and space exploration and yet it persists.

According to Webster’s New Collegiate Dictionary, 1977, a mantra is a mystical formula of invocation or incantation. A Sanskrit sacred counsel or formula. Daily we operate from a mantra that was either put upon us, or that we have developed for ourselves over our lifetime. Often, when that mantra does not work to our highest good, it can be very difficult to rewrite that formula. But if we are to move forward spiritually, we must. We must break the looping message we are operating under and make a new one that helps us move forward. This is the basis for Tony Robbins entire, lucrative career.

A basic element of Christianity as practiced too often, is to convince people that there is only one shot at life and then you are gone – either to heaven or hell — so take out your insurance policy by believing this particular way, because if you are wrong, the consequences are dire. That works for other forms of spiritual control as well. Fear of the consequences, and offering a solution to the horrors that have the potential to come with the dark side are primary factors for such control.

Everything is an illusion according to many forms of philosophy and spiritual enquiry. This line of argument goes along several paths. One is that reality is only a dream and that we are some sort of spiritual entity dreaming a script to learn lessons. Another is along the lines that the whole universe is a hologram and that substance does not exist.
