When one called by God has to speak out then who is it that is willing to listen? The prophets of the Old Testament lived over 2,000 years ago and their words are with power and wisdom. Religions have taught their congregations that this doesn’t happen now and the God is too far off to hear.

Most won’t listen to anyone who tells them “God said” because the Spirit has been silent for so long that only a few know that it speaks out. It does, however, talk to us all. Most learn not to listen to it so only those who bypass indoctrination can hear it.

Everyone loves soap bubbles – Preschoolers, Children, Youth and Adults. They gleam and sparkle in all the colors of the rainbow. They float along and drift in delightful and unexpected ways. They come in all sizes and shapes, and can be caught or set free, alone or connected. But one thing is true of all bubbles. There will come a time when each bursts and is forever lost. Bubbles do not last forever. They remind us to focus on this things that last forever.

My higher guidance led me to this interesting metaphor of how the ego and heart can work together. So it tells me to bake a cake.

Brother Lawrence refers to something all Christians should want. He refers to a state every human being should hunger for; a state that transcends our earthly state and circumstance, lifting us high upon heaven’s firmament, beyond pain and difficulty, even as we live this life.

Living your purpose and fulfilling your dreams is not for just a chosen few; it’s for everyone, including you. In this enlightening article, you will become inspired to achieve your heart’s desires, overcome fear and walk a sacred path in an easy, uplifting and spiritual way.

We hold so much stock in life, and our lives are one arm wrestle after another to wrest back to the Lord His control over our lives. The world constantly has a piece of us. It either lavishes upon us a myriad of idols or it ‘promises’ things to prop up our pride, which, when they don’t come through, and they almost always don’t, a fall is our dessert. Then there’s the enemy, the father of lies. He’ll stop at nothing to discourage and afflict. And if the world’s temptations won’t ordinarily get to us, he will use those temptations of the world to tempt us when we least expect it. The devil will do whatever can be done to skew our allegiance from God.

Stillness is akin to silence, and together the two talk about the soul calmness of tranquillity. We don’t imagine any spiritual or holistic gain in practicing stillness until we try it. But there is a gain, alright.

“I am not what I ought to be. I am not what I want to be. I am not what one day I will be. But, I am not what I was, and by the grace of God I am what I am.” Having been saved and rescued by Jesus Christ, from a life of slave trading, he penned these words, and wrote the hymn “Amazing grace”. A man can only write such words after experiencing the power of God. Do not reject all that. Why does the world reject all this? Why do people in general reject all this? God has given me the insight I need to see that because of who He is I am never without a reason to praise Him. It is good when your lips and life can combine to praise and glorify Father, Son and Holy Spirit. The consequence is full of enriching blessing.

The question is a rhetorical one as it is not expected that any one person has the answer any more than another. God is simply not visible and no one can see anything that resembles it. That is why images were created to represent it.

Over the years I have discovered that those who have taken time to read the Word of God have found it to be immensely rewarding with enriching accompanying blessings. It is in the heart of our gracious loving God to bless people. Turn to the Gospel of Mark. Take time and make time to read it through. If a battle was won in the days of the Roman Empire, a runner would come with the news, and shouting the word ‘Gospel’ – meaning – won – won – won. A herald would come with this announcement. A battle has been won. Warfare has been engaged, and you can now have peace, because we have won. There has been a victory. Do you need a victory in some area of your life?

But, for all its foibles, the church really is the only ultimate answer for a hurting world. It’s the only answer, because it’s God’s answer, from time immemorial.
